Voyager, Week 10— Nov 2, 2018

11/1/2018

PRINCIPAL LOGAN’S NOTE

Sumac is a learning community, and our teachers continue to grow! Teachers are beginning one of two book studies: Teaching for Biliteracy or Grading from The Inside Out. These books will inform classroom instruction as we continue to strengthen our practice surrounding language bridging, supporting language learners, and mastery-based grading.

A new computer adaptive program is our latest resource! Achieve3000 will support literacy in our dual programs, grades 3-8. We are eager to embed this excellent resource into our curriculum. We thank the Board of Education for adopting this essential resource for the LVUSD dual program.
